We're so excited to announce the release of our new album, MOOD LIGHTING. We couldn't be prouder of the final product; we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it!
The GW Troubadours co-ed a cappella group at The George Washington University today released a new studio album entitled Mood Lighting. The album -- which is available for download on digital distribution platforms like iTunes, Amazon MP3, Loudr, and Google Play -- is comprised of eight original arrangements of popular songs like “Rude” and “You Go Down Smooth.”
The album was edited and mixed by Danny Ozment for Emerald City Productions, one of the leading a cappella studios in the region. Ozment has worked with a breadth of artists through the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America and NBC’s The Sing-Off. All album tracks were mastered by Bill Hare for Bill Hare Productions, whose client list includes renowned a cappella artists Pentatonix and The House Jacks.
The album dropped on May 1, 2015, about three weeks before the group is scheduled to travel internationally for performances in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia with the GW Department of Music and University Singers.
The GW Troubadours will travel to perform in the Baltics from May 20-27, 2015. The trip marks the a cappella troupe’s first tour to the Baltics in their well-rounded touring history. In addition to concerts and sightseeing, the group will also participate in an outreach concert at Keila SOS Children’s Village in Tallinn, Estonia on May 26th.
